How do I activate Tucket?
- Open Settings, then License.
- Paste the key from your purchase email.
- Activate.
How do I move it to a new Mac?
Your licence covers 3 Macs at once, so if you are replacing one, free the slot first.
- On the old Mac, open Settings, then License.
- Choose Deactivate & Quit. That releases the slot immediately.
- Activate on the new Mac with the same key.
Does it work offline?
Yes, and I built this specifically so a flight never locks you out of your own clipboard.
The licence is re-checked quietly in the background after three days. If a check cannot get through, Tucket keeps working for a further fourteen days before it asks you about it. An outage or a week without wifi is a non-event.
If something does go wrong, the message says what happened and what to do about it, including when the problem is simply that you are offline.
How do I check whether I am up to date?
Settings, then General. It opens with the version you are on, the day it came out, and a badge reading Up to date, Update available or Could not check. Check Now looks again, and becomes Install when there is something newer.
There is a link there to the notes for every release, so you can read what changed before you install it.
How do updates work?
They install themselves in the background, with the changelog shown in the update dialog so you can see what changed before it lands.
Updates are incremental, so only the difference is downloaded. A 1.3.0 to 1.3.1 update was about 318KB rather than the full 5MB.
Good to know
- Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, who act as merchant of record. They issue the invoice and handle any VAT or sales tax.
- Every future update is included. There is no upgrade fee and nothing renews.
- If Tucket is not for you, email me within 10 days and I will refund you in full.
