How do I paste several clips in order?
- Open the popup and start selecting. Hold a clip, right-click one and choose Select, or click the multi-select button in the toolbar.
- Click the clips in the order you want them. Each one shows its position number as you go.
- Click Paste multiple.
- Click into the app you want them in. Tucket pastes them one after another.
How do I make each one actually send in a chat?
Use Paste multiple, sending each. It presses Return after each item, so images post as separate messages instead of stacking up in the compose box.
This is the difference between dropping eight screenshots into Slack and dropping one message with eight screenshots crammed in it.
How do I change the order?
The order is the order you clicked. Click a selected clip again to deselect it and the remaining numbers close up, so you can fix a mistake without starting over.
To stop selecting altogether, press Esc, or click the toolbar button again. It turns into a cross while you are selecting, so the way out is the button you came in by.
How do I stop it halfway through?
A panel shows Pasting 3 of 10 with a progress bar while it runs.
- Click Stop in the panel.
- Or just press Esc.
It is going too fast for the app I am pasting into. Can I slow it down?
Yes. Settings, then General, then Pasting multiple clips, then Pace, anywhere from 0.5× to 3×. Higher is slower.
Tucket already waits longer between images and documents than between text, because heavier things take the receiving app longer to accept. If a particular app still drops things, nudge the pace up.
Good to know
- It works with every format, not just text.
- A whole pinboard can be pasted in order from its right-click menu, with no selecting required.
- The pace setting lives in Settings, then General, under Pasting multiple clips.
